Maybe the problem comes from your video. Can you please try using Handbrake to convert the video and import it again into ActivePresenter to see if it works?

Found 2 files in the path mentioned below. One is called Untitled and other is called Untiled -journal.
How do I recover my files from these. Please guide

We have checked the log and there is nothing wrong with it. Could you please describe the problem in more detail and send the full log so we can check? If the log file is long, you can send it to support@atomisystems.com
If the application crashed when you were recording the screen and you just found the 2 files above, there is no way to recover the video recording, unfortunately.

Iām not sure which OS you are using, however, you can see the hotkey for stop recording in this dialog:
(Click the Gear icon in the Record Video Project/ Record Software Simulation Project dialog > Recording Settings > Hotkeys):

Somehow I had to use this hot key Ctrl+ALt+C
Within the same project tried to save 2 different screen recordings, but did not save the video recordings. Log is as folllows. How can I recover the video recordings? on activepresenter video slides have āno video sourceā caption.

Hi there, I had a problem yesterday. I recorded a 2.30 hour video and was in the process of converting it to .MP4. Halfway through due to constraints in disk space the program hung up and i had to Force quit. I see a MP4 file which is 1.2GB on my desktop- which was the destination i gave. However i cannot play it on either VLC or on Quicktime- it does not show any duration. I tired to open the file using AP, but it does not work either. I am using the following version on my iMac.

Do you keep the ActivePresenter project file (.approj file)?
If yes, you can open it to export to MP4 again.
Otherwise, you can try using Handbrake (a free open source video transcoder) to convert your MP4 video to see if it works.

hello, today I started a video record with ActivePresenter like always. everything was okay but when I ended the record, there was an ActivePresenter logo in the middle of the screen with āloadingā. I am sure I used Record Video and not the other one. my laptop was open for 4 hours but nothing happened. my laptop got me always the option to close that because it was not reacting for 4 hours. I restarted my laptop and clicked on ActivePresenter. it opened and said āwould you like to restore your autsaved presentationā. I clicked on yes but there was nothing about a video, just a screen with an empty presentation. named: Untitled.approj

Could you please take a look at the cached folder (C:\Users\Username\Documents\ActivePresenter.ActivePresenterCachedProjects) to see if there are any audio/ video files?
ā.ActivePresenterCachedProjectsā is a hidden folder so you might need to turn on the āShow Hidden Filesā option to see it.
If there are video files here, you can copy them to another folder and open with ActivePresenter for editing.
Besides, kindly take note that ActivePresenter is mainly designed for creating training tutorials that normally have a duration of fewer than 1 hour. If you want to record a long session, you should look around for other screen recorders on the Internet.

I donāt have those video files, I have 2 files of 1kb and it is not possible to open them in ActivePresenter.
Which screen recorder do you prefer? At the moment I just downloaded OBS studio but I donāt know what kind of program it is.

Hello,
I had completed recording a session & opened another session to record but somehow it got crashed.
Now I find the audio file of the first session by checking the Logs but couldnāt find video of it, itās not there.
there is no trace of my second recording and it seems that recoding wasnāt even took place.
now how can I find the video of first session? I can see there a file saved with file type as just File which belongs to my first session but I canāt open it up in Activepresenter.

Hello,
I had a long screen recording (4 and a half hours) earlier today and when I wanted to stop it, the recording toolbar just disappeared. My hard disc is showing me that it has to be somewhere because it is full (before it had 7 GB of free space) but I canāt find it anywhere (itās not in the cached folder). What can I do?
