Problem:
My system space ran out while I was recording an important session. While I tried to search for the recording I could not find it in the ActivePresenter folder. Please help me recover the file as soon as possible. Thanks in advance!
ActivePresenter Version: ActivePresenter Free Edition
Version 8.0.3 (Released: 2020.03.16)
Please try to find if these files are in C:\Users<your_user_name>\Documents\ActivePresenter.ActivePresenterCachedProjects. Otherwise, there is no way to recover the recording.
Can you please describe the problem in more details? Have you tried the above suggestion?
If possible, please share the log of ActivePresenter so we can know exactly what happened.
To view the the log, click ActivePresenter > Preferences > Miscellaneous > View Log.

I need my audio back please helpp!!!
Please check if thereās any audio files in C:\Users\Admin\AppData\Roaming\ActivePresenter\temp\rl_20201127_004829_owpifkx7q3_files folder. If yes, you can insert them to your project.
Please be noticed that your C drive is full, you need to free up some disk space for ActivePresenter to work properly.

Problem:
I recorded a very long video, once i stopped recording and activepresenter opened, it said ānot respondingā and closed the programme. Is there any way for me to get back the recording
You can search for the cached recorded video file in:
C:\Users\Username\Documents\ActivePresenter\.ActivePresenterCachedProjects
Please kindly be noted that ā.ActivePresenterCachedProjectsā is a hidden folder so you might need to turn the āShow Hidden Filesā option on to see it.
If there are video files here, you can copy them to another folder and open them with ActivePresenter for editing. Otherwise, there is no way to recover your video, unfortunately.
I donāt know where should I ask for the solution of my problems so I am asking here.
I recorded my screen for 40 minutes and when I saved the project with a name ActivePresenter crashed and was not responding. So I closed the program and when I looked for my saved project I found it but the audio file source was not found.
Please Help me!!!
If you canāt find the audio file source, there is a high chance that it was lost and unable to recover, unfortunately. Could you please send us the log of ActivePresenter so that we can find some clues why ActivePresenter crashed?
To view the log, in Start Page, click Preferences (the Gear icon) > Miscellaneous > View Log. If the log is long, you can send it to support@atomisystems.com
thank you but I got my audio file back from cached projects
but Now I have got another problem. I recorded my screen again today and this time when I stopped the recording suddenly ActivePresenter crashed and Didnāt capture my slides and now I can neither find my screen recording project nor the project filesā¦
PLEASE HELP ME!!
You can search for the cached recorded video file in:
C:\Users\Username\Documents\ActivePresenter\.ActivePresenterCachedProjects
If there are video files here, you can copy them to another folder and open them with ActivePresenter for editing. Otherwise, there is no way to recover your video, unfortunately.
We have checked the log but it seems there is no problem. Could you please try doing the following steps:
Search for the project file in: E:\ActivePresenter\.ActivePresenterCachedProjects
If you cannot find any file here, the project is lost, unfortunately.
Enable the āUse software rendering instead of GPU renderingā option to see if it can help prevent the software from crashing (ActivePresenter icon > Preferences > Miscellaneous).
Next time when you see a crash dialog, please describe it, fill in your email and submit it.
