When playing linked MP4 files for the second time, "intermediate frames" appear

Hello everyone,

as the title suggests, I have problems with linked video files.

I put the scene online here for you to understand.
http://www.experimente.bplaced.net/saola/van-trailer_HTML5/van-trailer.html

Please press “START”.
Now on “AUSLAGE”.
And now on “ZURÜCK”.
If you now press “AUSLAGE” again, any intermediate images will appear.
(The “ROTATE” button has no function yet.)

I can’t find any error in the project.
It looks like a buffer problem, like the memory is not freed fast enough.
Or is it perhaps because of the handling of the different timelines?

I also removed all scripts and css files to see if that might be the cause, unfortunately without success.
I also saved the scene with the demo version of Saola Animate 3.1.1, again without success.

Hope for a solution!

Hi Arnie,

Yes, it’s a buferring problem.
The video need time to buffer when seeking from the last frame to the first one when running “Auslage” timeline again.
You can extract the last frame image, show it over the video at the end of the video playback, then seek the video to its first frame after that. So the video is ready at its first frame when running the timeline again.
Please see your project fixed:

Hi Toan,

this is so great!
Thank you very much for your help.

I was a little confused at first why the stills are longer than the videos, but after bringing them to the same length, everything still seems to work.
I will continue to test.

Again, thank you very much.

Many greetings
Arnie

Hi Arnie,

The video buffering time may vary depending on the connection speed, so the actual end time may differ from what was set in the editor.
I intentionally placed the image a little bit after the end of the video to ensure that it has ended.

Hi Toan,

that makes sense.
Thank you for pointing this out.
Then I will leave it like this.

Many greetings
Arnie
