I just upgraded to AP 10. I’m wondering if I’m missing something or if something changed in the way that Web Objects are handled. The main project I use ActivePresenter for has 3 slides with web objects based on HTML packages (these are .zip files in my resources). I had no issues with these in AP9. Now, my project will not export as an HTML5 unless I delete the HTML package web objects completely. It just hangs on export, and the note in the bottom corner clearly tells me it’s stuck exporting the web object package.
In an attempt to see if it’s something in AP or with the web objects in general, I’ve tried to change the web object to a URL instead of an HTML package. When I make the URL Yahoo, or Google, or about 99% of any other websites, I get this message when the exported slide opens in a browser:
To protect your security, www.yahoo.com will not allow Firefox to display the page if another site has embedded it. To see this page, you need to open it in a new window.
Does anyone have any insight on how I can fix this? Is there a new security setting within AP that I can change? Is this a known issue in version 10?
The issue you’re experiencing with Web Objects in ActivePresenter 10 is a known bug. Our team is aware of it and working on improvements.
Regarding this issue, it happens because the website doesn’t allow being embedded in an iframe. It’s not an issue with ActivePresenter, and unfortunately, there isn’t a workaround for it.
We are sorry for this inconvenience and appreciate your patience and understanding while we work on resolving this.
Could you please share your project (.approj) and its external data folder named in the format PROJECT_FILE_files, (if any) with us at support@atomisystems.com so that we can investigate the issue further?
