Problem: When editing software simulation the after a while activePresenter hangs then after a short time the rest of the VM hangs then.
The error is “The virtual machine could not be changed to the selected monitor layout”
ActivePresenter version: 8.5.0
OS: Windows 10 pro 16GB RAM
VMware : workstation 15 version 15.5.0

Regarding the error message, it’s the message of VMWare. I’m not sure if it relates to ActivePresenter.

Whilst I agree the error is from the VM software it only occurs when I am using activePresenter to edit software simulations and at no other time
I tried to upload the log but get a message - new users cannot upload so have pasted the log into the message for the session with the error

Hi Andy,
It seems the problem is related to graphics driver. Please make sure that the VMWare Tools is installed and the graphics driver on the virtual machine is up to date. If the problem persists, please try selecting the Use software rendering instead of GPU rendering option in ActivePresenter > Preferences > Miscellaneous, then restart the program.
