When I start Screen Recording, I set the volume to the maximum from the Initial settings. However, the resulting sound is very very low!! This is very frustrating. I discovered that I can change the volume after I finish the recording from the Audio Timeline, but why does it is so low when I set it to the maximum from the beginning?
Hi Viorel,
Could you please try again and make sure to follow the below notices?
- If you want to record the System Audio, please increase the volume (the icon at the right corner of the taskbar) to 100%.
- If you want to record your voice from the mic, do similarly with the sound input volume in the Window Settings.
Let me know if they work.

Hello, I want to record my voice, could you please provide the step-by-step instructions for Windows “do similarly with the sound input volume in the Window Settings”. I do not know exactly what settings to do.
Hi,
Please take a look at this part in the support questions about Microphone from the Microsoft team.
If it does not work, please let me know your operating system so I can support you better.

The volume of my voice recording is very low, but only in the Active Presenter.
It´s ok in Zoom and other applications.
I recently changed to a new notebook, Win 11, and I´m using the same USB-headset as before (Win 10, always the newest versions of AP). I made the test: the recording on the old notebook is fine, but on the new one it´s very very low. I need to increase it by 500% to be acceptable (but still low).
Seems to be a compatibility problem with Active Presenter.
