Hi. I’m using AP 10 to create educational games. Currently just making a drag n drop question. I’m working with some images and the UI becomes extremely laggy. Not really able to move images accurately and it takes a very very long time. On one page I have 6 images, all compressed to be roughly 1MB each, resolution 300 x 300 ppi. They were previously bigger but the problem has not gone away now that I have compressed the images before importing to the AP project.
I’m running AP on a VM through qemu, which has 32GB RAM allocated and plenty of cores from the CPU (which is a Ryzen 7 4800H). This setup works perfectly, but not with the images I mentioned above.
Does anyone know what else I can do to make it usable?
Thanks.
Ian
EDIT: I think I’ve found the problem. My original image size was 8548 x 2532 pixels at 300 ppi, that’s more than 70 cm in width! The literacy books I’m making are published to an Android device so they can be used directly from the phone. But ordinarily when teaching a class, the books are sent to a projector. So if the resolution is too low, the quality will be awful through the projector.
Can anyone suggest a good resolution and size?
