Unable to record a video of webcam due to error

Problem:

Unable to record a video of webcam. I have attached a screenshot of the error I get on creating webcam video. I uninstalled older version and reinstalled latest to see if is resolved. But still there is an error. Pls suggest

Could you please share the log of ActivePresenter so we can check?
To view the log:

In Start Page, click Preferences (the Gear icon)
Select Miscellaneous.
Click View Log.

Can you please let us know:

Does the webcam preview window work?
The model (name) of your webcam?

Please also try updating the driver of webcam to see if it helps.

the preview of camera is working but its slow to show
webcam is inbuilt in laptop. i see these two names in Device Manager in Control Panel window - pls see attached file.
I tried to update these camera drivers - its saying the best one is already installed, no updates available also

Thanks for your information.

According to the log, ActivePresenter could not detect these two cameras. The common reason for this issue is their drivers use the old Windows API (DirectShow) while ActivePresenter uses the new one.
Unfortunately, there is no quick solution for this problem at this time. If you don’t need to use the features in version 8, you can consider installing version 7 which uses the old API (https://cdn.atomisystems.com/apdownloads/ActivePresenter_v7.6.0_setup.exe) to see if it works.
