Text Captions - Font Size

Hi Atomi Support

I’ve recently upgrade to ActivePresenter Pro Edition Version 10.5.0 – I’ve noticed when I Insert a Text Caption the font defaults to the size of the box and re-sizes if I increase the box size – I sometime need the text to say as the original size but I want to increase the box size (to cover an area) – I’m having to go back into the text box and manually change the text size back – is there a way to lock text so it doesn’t resize?

Also I can only resize the Text Captions horizontally (Left or right) or diagonally (corner to corner) but not vertically up or down. Using the Properties > Transform > Height doesn’t appear to do anything? Rather than use a Text Caption I’m using a shape and right-clicking to display the menu to select Edit Text – I feel I have more control over the shape than I do the Text Caption – is this the best method to use?

Regards

Tom

Hi Tom,

By default, Text Captions have the Scale Text with Object option enabled. Therefore, when you resize the Text Caption object, the text size will also be scaled accordingly.

To keep the original font size, please select the Text Caption, then go to Properties > Size & Properties > Text Box and uncheck Scale Text with Object.

After this option is unchecked, you will also be able to resize the Text Caption vertically.

Best regards,
