Tables as child of content container

Problem: When I create a table and drag to place it into a Content container, the table does not appear as a child of the container. Thus when I try to click a cell to edit it, I cannot click it.

Is there a way to force the table to become a child within the container? I can select the table in the selector and slide it under the container, but its not a child. I tried Tabbing it to make it a child - no luck. I’m out of ideas. I’ve searched Google, the manual, and the forum, but can’t find it.

ActivePresenter version: AP 9.1.5

OS: Windows 11

Notes:

Hi,

Please check if you have selected the Exclude from Container Layout option for the table as shown in the image below:

Deselecting this option will allow you to drag and place the table into a container.
If that doesn’t resolve the issue, kindly send us a slide showing the problem at support@atomisystems.com for further assistance.

Regards,

Thank you for your quick reply - as usual.
I do have that option selected. By the way, I also tried using a Grid Box, but then I lose ability to custom set the size of the table and cells.
Here is a slide with the problem table.

Thanks for your quick response, too.

It looks like there’s a bug in the current version. We’ll take a closer look at it! In the meantime, could you try locking Content_2 to work with the table?

Regards,

Tried the locking trick and it works. I love how your team is so proactive on looking at bugs like this and trying to fix things.

Just a note for when you present this to programmers to fix, the same bug seems to affect other objects as well, such as Text Captions, for example.

Thank you so much for your proactive response! I’ll pass this along to our dev team.
If you run into any other issues in the future, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

Have a wonderful day!
