Swipe left action

Hi can anyone point me in the right direction for a tutorial on sweeping left and right on the screen? I can’t seem to find a tutorial that covers it for Active Presenter, only Animate. If anyone has seen a good YouTube video for using sweep in Active Presenter, I’d much appreciate it.

Thanks in advance,
Steve

Hi Steve,

It seems that you’re referring to the swipe events here:

On Swipe Left/Right/Up/Down: Occur when users swipe across an object/a slide to the left/right/top/bottom on the touch screen. Available for slides, buttons, drop targets (not including drop areas), animated timers, text captions, shapes (including all message types), containers, equations, and images.

For more information on how to use events-actions in ActivePresenter, please check out this tutorial: How to Add Interactivity to Courses with Events-Actions in ActivePresenter 9

In case you’re referring to Gesture Effects, kindly take a look at this tutorial: How to Insert Gesture Effects in ActivePresenter 9 - Atomi Systems, Inc.

Regards,

Hi,

Thanks for the explanation. I did see these videos but they are not quite what Im looking for. In the example below I have a screen with 6 items in black on them. Can you use a gesture to slide the 6 black objects to the left so you can see the last couple of objects (and the first 2 are pushed left off the screen)?
Thank you,
Steve

Hi,

You might try using Flexbox with Auto Overflow to make this work. Feel free to check out the sample project for more details.

flexbox overflow.approj (1.1 MB)

Thank you for your quick reply. Can I ask, (1) Is there a way to add spacing between the squares and (2) am I restricted to just shapes or can I add other objects?

Thank you in advance,
Steve

Hi,

Yes, you can adjust the left and right margins as shown in the image below:

You can also add other objects to the flex box if you’d like:

Have a great day!

Thank you. For some reason when I was right clicking it was only coming up with the option to add more shapes. I’ll start a new project to see if I have the same issue. Thanks for your thorough response.

Oh, if you’d like to add more shapes or objects (flex children) to your flex box, just click the plus (+) button here; no need to right-click.

Hope this helps.
