Problem: Significant Memory Leak / Excessive Memory Usage (reaching more than 8GB) during editing tasks
ActivePresenter version: 10.1.1
OS: macOS 26.4
Notes: I am using a MacBook Air M1 with 8GB of RAM. I’ve noticed that the memory usage increases consistently the longer I use the application, even though I am not performing any screen recording.
According to the Activity Monitor, the usage reached more than 8GB, which exceeds my physical RAM and causes high “Memory Pressure” and heavy “Swap” usage. This happens during standard editing of slides and media assets. The memory does not seem to be released back to the system until I completely quit the application.
Attached is a screenshot of the Activity Monitor showing the high memory consumption.
We were able to reproduce the issue on our side. This is a known issue that may occur during editing, especially when working with certain features and media in the project.
Our development team is continuously working on improving memory usage and optimizing performance in upcoming updates.

I would like to emphasize that this issue is currently a major blocker for my workflow. Since my MacBook Air M1 only has 8GB of RAM, a memory usage of up to 16gb forces the system into heavy “Swap” usage. This not only makes the application sluggish but also raises concerns about the long-term health of my SSD due to excessive write cycles.
Given the severity of this impact on my daily productivity, could you please provide an estimated timeline for when a performance fix might released? or a temporary workaround (other than restarting the app)?

On my Mac Studio, both RAM and CPU usage are extremely high when using ActivePresenter Pro Edition. I monitored it with Activity Monitor, and even when I’m not doing anything, the application consumes most of my 32 GB of RAM. CPU usage is also unexpectedly high.
As soon as I start using the program, the entire system becomes noticeably slow and unresponsive.

I’ve attached a screenshot showing the current resource usage. It looks like there may be a serious memory leak or background processing issue.
