SCORM Version Selection Is Not Remembered After Reopening Project

Hi ActivePresenter Team,

I would like to report an issue regarding the SCORM export settings.

When I export a project and select SCORM 1.2 in the Export to SCORM dialog, the export works as expected. However, after closing and reopening the project, the SCORM version setting is not remembered.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Open a project.

  2. Export it as SCORM and select SCORM 1.2.

  3. Close ActivePresenter.

  4. Reopen the same project.

  5. Open the Export to SCORM dialog again.

The SCORM Version is automatically set back to SCORM 2004 instead of retaining the previously selected SCORM 1.2setting.

Could you please confirm whether this is expected behavior or a bug? Is there any way to make ActivePresenter remember the last selected SCORM version for a project?

Thank you for your support.

Hi Alice,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

Regarding the SCORM export settings, this behavior is generally related to how project settings are saved in ActivePresenter.

Export settings are stored within the project file (*.approj). Therefore, after changing any export option (such as switching the SCORM version from SCORM 2004 to SCORM 1.2), please make sure to save the project before closing ActivePresenter. Otherwise, the change may not be written to the project file and the default setting may be used the next time you open the project.

Could you please try the following steps?

  1. Open the Export tab > SCORM.
  2. In the eLearning tab, change the version to SCORM 1.2.
  3. Click OK to close the dialog.
  4. Save the project (Ctrl+S).
  5. Close and reopen the project, then check the SCORM version again.

If the setting still reverts to SCORM 2004 after saving and reopening the project, please let us know your ActivePresenter version and send us the project file (*.approj) if possible. We will be happy to investigate further.

Best regards,
Hoa
