SCORM 1.2 Export Creates an Additional “player” Folder — Is It Required?

Hi ActivePresenter Team,

When exporting a project as SCORM 1.2 in ActivePresenter, I noticed that besides the test.zip package, an additional folder named player is also created.

I’m a bit confused about its purpose.

  • Why is the player folder generated?

  • Is it required for uploading to an LMS, or should I only use the test.zip file?

  • In which scenarios would the player folder be used?

Hi Alice,

For uploading to an LMS, you only need to use the generated test.zip package.

The additional player folder is not required for LMS upload and can be ignored. All the files needed for the course are already included in the ZIP package.

Thanks for pointing this out. We’ll review whether generating this additional folder is necessary in future releases.
