Question About “Scale Text with Object” Behavior in Grouped Text Captions (Latest Version)

I would like to ask whether this is an intended behavior in the latest version of ActivePresenter.

According to the manual (page 423), the feature works as follows:

Scale Text with Object: Adjust the font size automatically so the text always fits the object when you resize it. This option is enabled by default for Text Caption objects.

Here is the issue I encountered:

I originally created hundreds of projects using ActivePresenter 10.0.0. In those projects, I used Text Caption objects extensively, and everything worked correctly.

After updating those projects to the latest version, I noticed different behavior. I have several Text Caption objects (around 5–6) placed inside a Group.

When the Text Captions are inside the Group, the Scale Text with Object option no longer appears under the Text Box properties.

If I remove the Text Captions from the Group, the option becomes available again.

I also recorded a screen video demonstrating the issue.

Could you please confirm whether this is expected behavior in the newer version? In previous versions, I did not experience this issue. Is it intended that the Scale Text with Object option becomes unavailable when Text Captions are placed inside a Group?

Thank you for your question and for providing the detailed information.

This is expected behavior. The “Scale Text with Object” feature is not supported for Text Caption objects within a Group, so the option is unavailable while the object is grouped. Once the object is removed from the Group, the option becomes available again.
