Prefix spaces not accepted in ToC

Problem: Hi, we are unable to add spaces before the topic name in ToC especially from latest version. Example:
In AP 8.2, we used to write ToC item as " Topic_name"
In AP 8.3.2, even if we add prefix spaces, it shows “Topic_name”. We need as it was shown in AP 8.2 please.

As a policy in our company we want to add spaces to denote hierarchy in most of the cases. We don’t group ToC items. Can you please fix the bug?

ActivePresenter version: 8.3.2

OS: WIN10

Hello,

You could try using an em space instead of a regular space.

There are also smaller spaces (e.g. thin space or en space) if you prefer. Info can be found here:

Hi Keith,

Thanks for recommendation. I didn’t quite understand how to use it. Can you please elaborate.

Thanks,
Shri

Hi Shri,

Here is one method of obtaining the character to use when replacing a regular space.

  1. Go to HTML Unicode UTF-8 and scroll down to the list of characters. Then select the space, which looks invisible, at the beginning of the EM SPACE line and Ctrl + c to copy the character.

Now go into your ActivePresenter Table of Contents and paste this new character in front of the names.

Hope this helps.

Cheers,
Keith
