Is it possible to edit object states on a recorded software simulation?
It won’t allow me to select a specific area of the recorded simulation to edit. Is it possible? If so, how?

When you use Record Software Simulation, the image was captured as slide background. You just can edit object states of objects such as annotations.
If you want to edit slide background, right-click on the Background canvas and select Edit Background Image to access to the built-in image editor.
