Hi,

Please try to disable Exclusive Mode of your microphone to see if it can help:

  1. Get into your Windows sound settings.
  2. In Recording tab, open the properties of your microphone.
  3. Go the last tab “Advanced” and deselect both exclusive mode checkboxes:

Hi,
I plugged in headphone before start the software. Then I did the Youtube video recording. However, I just CANNOT record audio from Youtube video. Instead, I only recorded sound from mouse clicking and keyboard typing. (PS: I tried different audio settings: – record microphone on/off, record system sound on/off, but none of them worked)

@DavidHH.W We have checked the log and it seems fine. Have you tried to update audio driver from the hardware manufacturer?

Thank you so much, the audio works fine after updating my audio driver.
Just have another two problems:

  1. When I use extended monitor, I can’t select which screen to be recorded when using full screen mode; Even if I customized which screen to be recorded, e.g. I dragged the recorded area to cover the main screen, when it starts recording, it messed up with the screen size and only recorded part of the screen.
  2. When I started recording, it makes my PC extremely slow. (I have used NVIDIA high-performance graphic processor for this program).
    The attached is my log.

Another question: Is there a way to shorten the time when exporting the video? (I exported to wmv. format, which is the smallest size and it usually takes me the same amount of time as or longer than the length of the original video).

Hi @DavidHH.W,

If your PC has a strong CPU and a weak graphics card, you can select Start Page > Preferences > Miscellaneous > Use software rendering instead of GPU rendering.

This is really helpful. I couldn’t hear any sound from ActivePresenter if I plugged my earphones in after starting AP. Now I know: earphones first, AP second.

I have been having issues with audio files not having any sound recorded. And my case is different from this because I have no headphones connected. I have emailed my log file to the support team. Let me know what s wrong. thanks.
