No Perspective on Properties Pane

Problem: No Perspective on Properties Pane
Saola Animate version: v3.0
OS: Win10
Notes:
Some article says there is a Perspective settings (x,y,z)
inside the Properties Pane, but I cannot see it.

My case is to create a oval shape, then click it,
then edit it using 3D tool, and see the Properties pane.

Q1) Why no Perspective settings (x,y,z) on Properties pane?
Q2) About the 3D transform in Soala,
as I know, it is only transform 2D shapes on a 3D space,
not transform 2D shapes to a 3D object, it is correct?

Thank you,
Afei

Hi afei,

Q1) All objects in a scene have the same perspective settings in the scene Properties pane.
Please don’t select any object so that the scene Properties will appear.

Q2) Yes, Saola Animate doesn’t support 3D objects.
It just supports 3D transformation of 2D objects.

Actually I cannot see any effect after I changed this perspective settings.

Although I’ve seen the 3D transformation Guide,
it says that “X, Y values are position of the viewing point in the scene plane, relative to the scene width, height respectively. Z value is the distance from the viewer to the scene.”,

but I cannot figure out what is this without see some effect.
Can you tell me how to see the effect of the perspective settings?

Thank you.

Hi,

You can download a 3D transformation sample project (e.g 3D Rubik, 3D Countdown) from Saola Animate main page and change the pespective to see the effect: Saola Animate - HTML5 Animation Software

For example, the perspective is animated from the top left corner (x: 0, y: 0) to the center (x: 50%, y: 50%) of the scene in the video below:

Can you tell me what is “The perspective”?
is it “the point of view” or something else?

Thank you,
Afei

Yes, it’s the position at which the viewing is looking.

I’ve seen the “3D Rubik” and see a “red vertical line above the box”

Q) Do you know what is it?

Thank you,
Afei

Hi afei,

It’s a motion path animation in the Bounce effect.
You can see the following tutorials about motion paths and effects:
