Is there a way to pin the menu bars? They disappear each time I click off one of the tabs and its driving me batsh*t crazy.

Hi,
It looks like you have clicked on the Collapse toolbar button on the top right corner of the app window.
Clicking it again will toggle the state.

How does it work for mac systems ?

It is the same as Windows, please click the Show/Hide Toolbar button at the top-right corner of the application window.
