Keep screen recording size the same between edits

Problem: When I start screen recording a slide, how do I keep the screen recording size the same each time I record. For example, let’s say I want to record this slide

But then I narrate and trip up and then I want to re-record it again. I don’t like how my voice sounds, a car drives by, people talk in the hallway, the leaf blower outside my office window goes off unexpectantly, and I want to stop that recording, throw it away, and try again. I end the narration with Ctrl-End, I go back to the project pane, and I click Undo (Ctrl Z) because I don’t want to keep that last recording. Redo time. Now I try again. I screen record again. But then the screen recording window pops up like this, by default, and I have to resize it between each and every take.

Is there any way to set the screen size to the size I want and keep it that way until I am finally happy with a recording? I’m sure it is in a setting somewhere but I couldn’t find anything on the internet that was obvious.

Notes:

Hi,

You can create and save a desired recording size to reuse it later. Please do as follows:

  1. In the Record Screen as a Video Project dialog > click the Preset Sizes drop-down arrow > select Customize…

  1. In the pop-up Edit Preset Sizes dialog > type a name > enter Width and Height recording size value > click Add > OK.

  2. Select your saved preset size to record.

BR,

Yes. This worked! I got it.
