How to Downgrade ActivePresenter Project from 10.0 to 9.3.0

I created my projects using ActivePresenter 9.3.0, but unfortunately, I saved them in version 10.0 without making a backup. While everything worked fine in 9.3.0, in version 10.0 many features are broken and things that used to work no longer function properly.

My question is: Is there any way to convert or downgrade my projects back to 9.3.0?

Please be assured that projects created in version 9.3.0 should still work properly when opened in ActivePresenter 10.

ActivePresenter projects are backward compatible but not forward compatible.
This means, if you save your projects in ActivePresenter 10, they can only be opened by version 10 or later, they cannot be opened in ActivePresenter 9 or any ealier versions.

So, please pay attention to the reminder pop-up dialog before saving your projects.

Does updating from ActivePresenter 9.3.0 to 9.4.0 mean that I have to change all JavaScript actions? Since you say projects are backward compatible but not forward compatible, I’m not sure if there are any compatibility risks when updating.

Or does this only apply when updating to ActivePresenter 10?

No, it doesn’t. You do not need to change any of your existing JavaScript actions when pdating from ActivePresenter 9.3.0 to 9.4.0 . Minor updates within the same major version (e.g., 9.x → 9.x) remain fully backward-compatible, so your projects will work just as before.

The note about “backward compatible but not forward compatible” mainly applies when opening a project saved in a newer major version (for example, saving a project in ActivePresenter 10 and then trying to open it again in ActivePresenter 9).
