Hide/Show ToC by clicking designated icon on the slide

Problem: I am creating an eLearning course and in that I want such a button on the screen on LMS (and HTML output) that will hide/unhide ToC. The built-in tool bar has it but the client wants it on main screen, like a home button or similar, for example in the upper right corner. Is this possible? Also, since I am quite fresher as a tool user I would appreciate step-by-step guidance.

ActivePresenter version: 9.1.5

Notes:

Hi,

You can manually create a home button in the top corner of the screen to show/hide the TOC. Please see the attached project for details.

Since it’s manually set up, it may require more steps compared to using the built-in TOC in the Player. The process involves creating sections, grouping them, setting them to play across multiple slides, hiding them initially, and using actions to show them again when clicked.

hi, thanks for your reply.. this is exactly what I was searching for!
Can you please guide me in detail regrding the steps you mentioned.. especially creating sections, setting them to play across multiple slides, and hiding them initially.. it would be really helpful for me.. For reference, I am adding here the Topic names in my ToC as 2 of them have sub-topics. These sub-topics I need to give as Drop-down list of respetive Topics plus they also need to be clickable:

  1. Course Overview
  2. Roadmap
  3. Introducing the 4825TN Tipper Truck
  4. Learning Agenda
  5. Engine with Sensors & Actuators
  • Introduction
  • Classification
  • Key Terminologies
  • Major Parts
  • Engine Working
  • Engine Sensors
  • Engine Variants
  1. Exhaust Aftertreatment System (EATS)
  • EATS Working
  • DEF
  • EATS Matrix

Thanks for your response.

Regarding the steps I mentioned, here are the details:
First, you add, style, and group the objects on the slide:

Right-click them and select Show to the End of Project and Initially Hidden, like this:

After that, you can add events-actions to show or hide the TOC; or jump to specific parts of the menu:

Regarding the dropdown menu, please find the attached project for your reference. In this example, we use the Toggle Visibility action to show/hide the group of objects.
