Framecache error on opening any project

I’m using the free version of Active Presenter as a simple screen capture program.
It’s a fresh installation, and hardly any settings changed; pretty much default.

I get the following kind of error every time I open a project:

2024-04-06 19:38:41: can’t open file ‘C:\Users[user]\AppData\Roaming\ActivePresenter\temp\rl_20240406_193838_lsls7e9th4.framecache’ (error 2: The system cannot find the file specified.)

The name of the missing file is different every time, but it is always a .framecache extension. So far, after receiving the error, I can carry on working on the project.

I’m just testing at the moment, so the projects just have one slide containing a short screen-capture video.

Hi,

Some users reported that the problem came from antivirus software like Avast.
It wrongly blocked ActivePresenter from accessing some locations on their computer.

Do you use Avast Antivirus? If so, ActivePresenter may be wrongly blocked by this program.
Please add ActivePresenter to the allowed list of the antivirus software to see if it works.
