Hello ActivePresenter Team,
I’ve been using ActivePresenter for an extended period, both in the trial and paid versions, and I’d like to share some feedback based on my experience. I hope this will be useful for future development.
1. Interface Complexity
- The interface often feels crowded, with many icons, symbols, and text visible at all times.
- It can be difficult to focus on the currently selected tool because the workspace lacks a “focus mode” to hide unnecessary elements.
- Customization of the UI layout is very limited. Many users, including myself, would like to fully rearrange or hide interface components according to personal workflow needs.
2. Feature Customization
- While ActivePresenter has many advanced features, most of them cannot be customized in detail.
- Ideally, every feature should offer granular settings so the user can adapt it precisely to their project’s needs.
3. macOS Performance
- Although a macOS version exists, it does not feel fully optimized for Mac systems.
- The Windows version is noticeably more stable and responsive.
- On newer Apple Silicon devices, performance is slow and sometimes unstable. Creating a fully native Apple Silicon version would greatly improve the experience.
4. Performance on Large Projects
- When working with large projects with many assets, the software can lag and slow down, especially on mid-range systems.
Suggestions:
- Introduce a “focus mode” or “distraction-free” workspace.
- Expand UI customization options (dockable panels, adjustable icon visibility, etc.).
- Offer more detailed settings for each feature.
- Optimize the macOS version, ideally with a native Apple Silicon build.
- Improve performance handling for large projects.
Thank you for your continuous development work. I believe these changes would make ActivePresenter an even more powerful tool for professional eLearning creators.
Best Regards,
