Feature Request: JavaScript Editor – Remember Window Size & Allow Font Size Customization

Hi ActivePresenter Team,

I’d like to suggest a couple of usability improvements for the JavaScript editor that opens in the “Execute JavaScript” action.

  1. Font Size Customization:
Currently, the editor does not allow changing the font size. For users writing longer scripts or with visual preferences, the ability to adjust the font size (e.g., via preferences or a zoom feature) would greatly enhance usability.
  2. Remember Window Size and Position:
Every time the JavaScript editor opens, it defaults to a small size and position, regardless of how it was resized or moved previously. It would be very helpful if the editor remembered its last used size and position across sessions—just like many modern IDEs do.

These small enhancements could make scripting in ActivePresenter more efficient and user-friendly.

Thanks a lot for your continuous improvements!

Best regards,

I agree that it would be nice to have a few more features that persist.

I currently hold the CTRL key and use my mouse wheel to increase the size of my font but it does not persist after closing the window.

That said… I am a Captivate convert and what AP offers now is still 10x better than what I got over there for a JavaScript window.

I also use VS Code when working with larger blocks and just paste in from time to time.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts and experience.

Still, it would be great to see small quality-of-life improvements like persistent font size and window dimensions added over time. They may seem minor, but they really make a difference in daily use.

if i can temporarily borrow this thread to make the broader suggestion for an ActivePresenter Developer edition.

include the more advanced feature requests: easing, javascript help/library, current AI features, advanced animation and transition features, possibly with scripting support.

it is claimed elsewhere features are kept simple, to accommodate most users. reading the forums, which include requests for customization, more granular control of existing features, and scripting, i ask devs consider my more advanced edition.
