I am experiencing an issue with events defined in the Slide Master in ActivePresenter.
When I create events (e.g., On Load, On Click, etc.) inside the Slide Master and then create slides based on this master, the events do not trigger on the actual slides.
To make the events work, I need to manually re-add the same events to each individual slide, which defeats the purpose of using the Slide Master for global settings or actions.
Expected behavior:
Events defined in the Slide Master should automatically work on any slides created with that master.
Steps to reproduce:
- Create a Slide Master.
- Add events/actions to the master.
- Create a slide using that Slide Master.
- Preview the project — the events from the master do not trigger.
Is this a known limitation or a bug? If there is a workaround, I’d appreciate any suggestions.

Let me provide you with more information.
In the Slide Master, we have a master layout and custom layouts.
Custom layouts inherit all the properties from the master layout. (On Load event, Themes, Colors, Fonts, Background Styles).
Each custom layout has its own events and actions that can be applied to the corresponding slide types in the working window.
For example, if you customize the Question Layouts event-actions in the Slide Master > On Correct event > add Play Audio action > the changes will be applied for the question slides in the working window.
So, make sure that you customize a custom layout in Slide Master > select the corresponding slide type in the working window.
Then, you won’t need to manually re-add the same event-actions.
However, if you modify slide’s events-actions in the working window > then customize custom layouts in Slide Master > all changed properties will no longer be applied to the slide in the working window.
