Hello, when I add a png image to the drag object, a line appears around the edges. What is the solution for this? @Hang @emrahdirek @eyyup_dogan @gregs @PhuongThuy_Le
Some questions…
- Does this happen with all PNG files that you make into drag sources or just this one?
- Where/how did you source the PNG? Create yourself, screenshot, etc…
- Did you try to remove any background to allow some transparency?
- What version of AP are you currently running? Could that be a factor?
It took me a while to see the lines you mention. They seem to be in the same position as would be the bounding box of the shape but they don’t seem as complete and defined as a bounding box would be.
That led me to think that perhaps there was something related to a residual shadow or something that might piggyback with an image found elsewhere.
I was unable to replicate this using PNG files of my own.
Thank you for your interest. I am doing this by taking a png output from an Adobe Illustrator file. I also took the output in Photoshop and changed the pixel settings, but the same problem persists.
Do you have PowerPoint?
If you made a similar shape and then copy/pasted it to the stage of AP - do you still see the bounding box lines?
I did this and did not have any lines in my version (9.1.2)
I am using AP (9.1.5) version, there is no problem when we drop the normal png file. When I load the drag object with image fill as png in the drag and drop question type, those lines appear.
Thanks for the additional context.
I do not generally create my drag and drop activities in that manner.
I was able to recreate your issue using the image fill of the drag and drop question.
I prefer to place my image on the screen direct and then designate it as a drag source. This method does not create the shadowy border using your image.
I did attempt an image fill with a PNG file I have and it did not create these borders so perhaps there is some sort of setting with the export from illustrator.
We’ll see what the staff have to say - they’re good about being able to dig deeper into those sorts of things on the back side.
We’ve looked into this, but we’re still not sure what might be causing the issue. Could you try inserting the image directly instead of filling it into the shape?
This might help resolve the problem. Let us know if it works!
Regards,
1- I added a png image from outside and when I converted it to a drag object, the lines do not appear yes, but they do not hold the arrows for the correct answer.
2- When I uploaded an image to a normal drag and drop question, I found a solution like this. When I pulled the points in the EDIT POINT section, the border line disappeared.
3- When I adjusted the image with the Tile feature in the Image fill section, the line also disappeared.
4- When I adjusted the dimensions of the images I added with Image fill and the dimensions of the drag object to the same level, there is still a faint line that may be due to colors.
Thanks for your response, @Yusuf_YAGCI
We’re looking into this issue.
Please try adding the image directly by clicking the image icon in the drag source like this to see if it helps resolve the problem.
