Drag and Drop: One target, multiple correct sources, but only one required

Hello,

I created a Drag and Drop question with:

  • 1 target

  • 3 sources

The target should accept 2 of the sources as correct answers. However, I only want one of them to be required (not both at the same time).

What I tried:

  • Added the 2 correct sources to the target’s Accept List

  • Set “Accepts” to 1

  • On Max Accept → Replace the last

But when I test it, ActivePresenter still expects me to drag both correct sources into the target to mark the question as correct.

:backhand_index_pointing_right: My goal: The learner should be able to drop either Source A OR Source B into the target, and that should be enough for a correct answer.

How can I set this up properly?

Hello,

In this case, you can try using the Drop Area instead of the Drag-n-Drop question. Unlike a normal drop target in Drag-n-Drop questions that can hold multiple drag sources at the same time, a drop area can only hold one at a time. If you drag and drop another drag source onto a drop area that already has a drag source, the new drag source will replace the old one, and the old one will return to its original position. Besides, you can also set a partial score for the Drop Area.
