Problem: Our Wistia video can’t be embedded due to our Domain Restriction settings. We need to allow your domain to make the embedding work. May I know what domain should I use for this to work?

Hi,

The domain you need to allow depends on where the final output is hosted.
Basically, wherever the project is deployed/uploaded — that’s the domain you should add to Wistia’s Domain Restriction allowlist.

For example:

  • If the output is hosted on yourdomain.com, then you should allow yourdomain.com.
  • If you are previewing from AP in a browser, it runs on localhost, so you would need to allow localhost for that case.

Note: When previewing inside the AP editor, it runs via the file:// protocol (not a real domain), so Wistia embeds will not work there due to domain restriction limitations.
