Did AP v9 & 10 keep the free screen recording and export features?

Quick question: Have they kept the core ActivePresenter features, such as screen recording and video export in the free v9 or 10?

I’ve been using the free ActivePresenter v8 for occasional personal use. The free screen recording, editing, and export-to-video features have worked very nicely.

I’m thinking about upgrading to either v9 or 10 on Win11 to stay more current (and perhaps a better/easier UI), but only if they haven’t removed that core functionality or other significant functionality from the free version. Otherwise, it just makes sense to stay with AP 8. I get that they’ve added new functionality (AI) that likely requires a paid license. I just need the basics above.

Asking as I just don’t want to upgrade to 9 or 10 and then find out they’ve perhaps removed the basic free screen recording/editing/export-to-video functions. Appreciate all replies!

Yes, the free editions of ActivePresenter v9 and v10 still include the core features you’re using in v8. You can continue to record your screen, edit videos, and export to standard video formats in the free version, with no watermark or time limit. Please note that the free version is intended for trial and non-commercial use.

What’s mainly restricted in the paid versions are advanced editing and eLearning features (SCORM/xAPI, HTML5 courses, LMS tracking, AI tools, etc.). So if you only need basic screen recording, editing, and video export, upgrading to v9 or v10 on Windows 11 won’t remove that functionality and should give you a more modern UI and ongoing updates
