Problem: In AP 9.3.0, when previewing a video, it either doesn’t play at all (stays on the first frame), or jumps around with large gaps.
ActivePresenter version: 9.3.0 64-bit
OS: win10
Notes: Hello.
I recorded a screen shot in a project.
In AP 9.3.0, when previewing a video, it either doesn’t play at all (stays on the first frame), or jumps around with large gaps.
In AP 9.2.1, the same project plays smoothly, as it should.
This only occurs when previewing in the AP (only in version 9.3.0).
When exporting to a video file, the video file itself plays correctly in a separate player.
Hi,
Thank you for your reporting.
Please send us more resources to support@atomisystems.com so we can investigate your issue better:
- The ActivePresenter log file. To view the log, click the ActivePresenter button > Preferences > Miscellaneous > View Log. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qdt7Z5h5bVc)
- The recorded video project has the issue, and its external data folder named in the PROJECT_FILE_files. If these files are large, you can upload them to a cloud storage site like Google Drive, then send the download link to us.
BR,
Good day.
I am attaching the requested materials.
Hi,
Thank you for sending the files, @fafhrd730
Kindly follow the suggestions below to resolve your current issue:
- Install the graphics driver
- Save the project file on your local computer to view and edit it, not on the network drive.
Hope it helps.
BR,
Hello.
The graphics driver is installed.
The project is located on a virtual disk.
Perhaps the problem is that we use virtual workstations.
But AP 9.2.1 works without any problems. The problem only appears on AP 9.3.0
Good day!
I tried to enable/disable software rendering in the settings.
Didn’t help.
I noticed that when playing a video preview, the processor loads 100%.
And this situation is only in AP 9.3.0.
In AP 9.2.1, everything still works correctly.
Good day.
I tried different settings on different devices, on both versions. On the same small project.
It is clearly visible that v.9.3.0 consumes more resources (indecently more) then v.9.2.1.
Please pass this information to the development department in order to optimize the software.

Nice day, @fafhrd730
Thank you for taking the time to test and share your observations regarding resource usage in ActivePresenter 9.3.0 compared to version 9.2.1.
I’ve passed your report along to our development team so they can further investigate the issue and work on potential optimizations in future updates.
In the meantime, if you notice any specific actions or settings that trigger the increased resource consumption, feel free to share them with us. This information can be extremely helpful for our team.
Thank you again for your support and for helping us improve ActivePresenter.
BR,
Thuy
