AP 10.5 taking far too long to export html / scorm

Problem: AP files, created in AP9 that rendered in as little as 30 seconds, are taking 20 minutes or more in AP10.5

ActivePresenter version:10.5

OS: Windows 11

Notes: I recently upgraded to AP version 10.5, from version 9. However, when I was updating AP9 version files and re-compiling them into html or scorm files, the rendering time for individual files (each one a lesson in a much larger course) the rendering time per lesson has gone up from around 30 seconds per file, to 20 or 25 minutes. Multiplying this by the number of lessons in a course and suddenly, I’m looking at spending the entire day just making a few minor adjustments to files that I used to correct in a few minutes.

Is this a known bug in version 10.5 and, if so, what can I do to correct this?

Thank you for reporting this issue.

The increase from around 30 seconds to 20–25 minutes is not expected.

First, please try disabling the Re-encode Audio and Video option when exporting and see if the export time improves.

If the issue persists, please send us one of the affected AP9 project files and the log for further investigation.

To view the log, access Preferences > Miscellaneous > View Log. In case the log is too long, please save it as a file.

Thank you for reporting the problem.

This is a confirmed issue in ActivePresenter 10.5, we have fixed it and it will be available in the next version 10.6 which will be around in a few more weeks.

The issue is in the process of converting audio when exporting to html5.
