Hi, I was wondering if you are planning on adding animated GIFs to the Export menu. It’s a big pain for me to take the video output and then find a program that will convert it to an animated GIF. All programs and online apps I have seen limit them to 10 to 15 seconds (e.g., Giphy). Thanks!
Hi,
Currently, videos are commonly used in place of GIFs because most browsers now support videos with high quality. Also, video has many advantages over GIF. So, we don’t have plan to do that.
Meanwhile, you can make a video in ActivePresenter, then add an autoplay loop muted attribute when uploading it to a website. This will make the video play as a gif.
Regards,
Embedding an animated GIF in an email is probably still the most compatible method, and I would love to see this as a native export from ActivePresenter.
I’m preparing some user guides for web applications, as well as some mailings to our customers. In these, I like to include many small animated GIFs to explain the new features using ActivePresenter. Exporting to .mp4 and then converting to .gif yields to huge files.
Good afternoon @Luc_Patiny,
Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us. As explained above, we currently do not have plans to implement this feature.
However, I’ll certainly pass your request along to our development team for future consideration.
BR,
