Active presenter crash

When I open a video capture made with Active Presenter in the software, it no longer responds. Is there a solution or is this a bug?

Please provide us with more information and materials so we can help you better:

  • Does this happen with any video capture project or just a specific one?
  • Is there any dialog appear?
  • Kindly send the ActivePresenter log file. To view the log, click the ActivePresenter button > Preferences > Miscellaneous > View Log.
  • Send us your project (.approj) along with its external data folder (named in the format PROJECT_FILE_files, if it exists) to support@atomisystems.com

Hi Thuy, i’ve the same problem. I’m using a free version Active Presenter program and, after 2 weeks work, all projects (.approj) can’t be opened. The box answer says “It’s not possible to open the file…” . Could be a problem with “activation product”? I’ve red that the Active Presented must be activated. Please let me know. thanks in advance.

Let me clarify to you some information.

Could be a problem with “activation product”? I’ve red that the Active Presented must be activated.

You can use the free version of ActivePresenter without time limitations or product activation requirements.

Some users reported that they could not open the file because the resources were not found.
If you’re also in this case, please note that:
ActivePresenter stores large audio/video files in an external folder named in the PROJECT_FILE_files stored in the same folder with the project file (.approj). Refer to this video for more details: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h_RiEamXisE&t
So if you copy, rename, move, or share the project file, please do the same with that folder too.
If you moved the project file then you can move it back to its original location.
