When monitor is set to 1080x1920 recording clips

I want to record a HD short for youtube and it needs 1080x1920. i made my 1920x1080 monitor to rotate 90 degress to make 1080x1920. however when i recorded the full screen video its coming as clipped video although slide setting is correctly set.

Hi there,

Please try deselecting the Use Direct3D for recording screen option to see if it resolves your issue.
Before recording, click the ActivePresenter button > Preferences dialog > Miscellaneous tab > deselect the Use Direct3D for recording screen option > OK.

Thanks! That did the trick. Can you please tell what is the side effect by deselecting it? Would it compromise the quality of the output video?

Hi @puttasampath,

Removing that option is more stable but performance will be lower.
If you record full HD and don’t need a high framerate then it’s no problem, you can deselect it.
