I´ve been using Active Presenter in the latest version on my old notebook (Win 10) for years, with great success. Now I bought a new notebook (Win 11, up to date) and Active Presenter is completely unstable, blocking all the time, impossible to use.
I already reinstalled it, but without bettering the situation. What can I do?
Hi Hans,
For your information, ActivePresenter is completely compatible and has no problem with Windows 11.
Usually, this error is due to some error in the graphics driver on the user’s computer, updating the driver will fix it.
In case you update your graphic drive but the issue is still encountered, please attach the log file of ActivePresenter here or send it to support@atomisystems.com so we can investigate it further.
To view the log, on the Start Page > click the Preferences button at the left bottom > Miscellaneous > View Log. Or click ActivePresenter > Preferences > Miscellaneous > View Log .
Please refer to this video tutorial for detailed steps:
Br,
Thuy
Thank @hans for sending the ActivePresenter log file.
After taking a look at your file, we see this is most likely still due to the graphics driver.
Sometimes the installation or update fails. So you should reinstall the graphics driver to be sure.
If you tried reinstalling the graphics driver but the issue is still encountered, please try toggling the following options in turn to see if it helps (ActivePresenter button > Preferences > Miscellaneous):
- Always use software recorders for decoding video.
- Use software rendering instead of GPU rendering.
Note that you can select the two options above at the same time.
In case the crash dialog pops up, fill in the email address, send the report to us and notify us so we can check.
BR,
