I am reporting a bug with the “type-on” text animation (letter by letter appearance) in ActivePresenter 10.5.
Issue: the animation stops at some point in the text — some letters appear correctly, then the display freezes and the remaining text is not shown.
Behavior:
when first inserted and configured, the animation worked correctly.
the problem also occurs in brand new projects, on empty slides, with newly inserted text.
I have not noticed any dependency on text length or specific characters used.
I have tested on various slides and in different projects — the result is the same.
ActivePresenter 10.5, Windows
Is this a known bug? Is there a workaround or fix available? If needed, I can provide a screen recording to illustrate the issue.
Best regards,
Please make sure the slide duration is long enough for the full animation, including the text animation.
If the issue persists, please let us know whether it affects a specific effect or all effects, and send us a screen recording or the project file at support@atomisystems.com for further investigation.
If I extend the slide duration to several dozen seconds, the animation starts working. But why do I have to set it this way if the “Switch slide” option is disabled?
The Switch slide option only controls whether the presentation moves to the next slide when the timeline ends. If it is disabled, the presentation simply remains on the current slide at its final state instead of moving to the next slide.
It does not make the slide timeline longer. The Type-on animation must still finish within the slide duration. If the slide duration is too short, the animation will stop before all text appears.
