Good day, all;

Quick question: is there a way to set a project (in Player Settings) where the TOC is initially collapsed? Now it seems that a project launches with the TOC open and with the button enabled users can close it, but I’d prefer it the other way around - that it launches with the TOC closed and the button can open it, so users start with the widest view possible.

I thought I’d asked this before and got JavaScript for it but I must me mistaken as I can’t find it anywhere.

TIA!

What if you place this JavaScript snippet on load of your slide?

```auto
prez.variable("apSidebarVisible",false);
```

Hi samamara,

Greg’s suggestion is a helpful approach.

You can apply the same idea using an action instead of adding JavaScript. In the **Project On Load** event, add an **Adjust Variable** action to set `apSidebarVisible = False`:

This will collapse the Side Bar/TOC when the presentation starts. Users can still use the Side Bar button to open it whenever needed.

Thanks, Greg, for jumping in!

Excellent @Giang_BTL - this will certainly help! Thanks too @gregs for your help and support as always!
