Sometimes resizing an inserted picture sometimes not

I have noticed that when I insert an image with large pixel dimensions into an AP9 slide, the software automatically adjusts the image size to fit within the working space. However, this automatic resizing distorts the image, causing elements within it to lose their original proportions in height and width. To correct this, I have to manually adjust the image size by modifying its pixel dimensions.

That said, I have also encountered situations where AP9 does not automatically resize the image, allowing me to insert an oversized picture that extends beyond the working space then. In these cases, I can manually resize the image using the mouse without specifying exact pixel values while maintaining the aspect ratio in the X and Y axes.

How can I determine whether AP9 will automatically resize an image upon insertion, and is there a way to control this behavior? Do I have to click on something on the slide before and the insert the pic?

Thx
Armin

Hi Armin,

It seems that you insert an image into the slide from the placeholder, so the image size will automatically be adjusted to fit within the working space.
If you want to restore it to the original size, just right-click the image > select Restore Original Size.

BR,

Thank you. This hint helped me to bring the picture back to the correct proportions.
