# SCORM 1.2 cmi.core.total\_time

**How can AP records** cmi.core.total\_time? Seems to be missing in scorm results.

We need to have the total time spent on scorm by the user (session A 15 sec, session B 10 sec, etc, Total 25 sec).

Any suggestion?

Hi Fabio,

In SCORM 1.2, `cmi.core.total_time` is managed by the LMS and is read-only for the course content.

ActivePresenter reports the time spent in the current session through `cmi.core.session_time` when the SCORM session is terminated. The LMS is then responsible for accumulating the session times and updating `cmi.core.total_time`.

For example:

- Session A: `cmi.core.session_time = 00:00:15`
- Session B: `cmi.core.session_time = 00:00:10`
- The LMS should report `cmi.core.total_time = 00:00:25`

Therefore, if `cmi.core.total_time` is missing from the SCORM results, please check how your LMS handles and displays this SCORM 1.2 data element. It is not a value that ActivePresenter can write directly.
