I’ve noticed a lot of websites don’t allow you to use inside a web widget eg. Google
Is there any way to have this handled gracefully? eg. if access is denied produce a popup box and redirect to previous page? or some other work around?

Unfortunately, there’s no way with just client-side JavaScript to know if a website is allowed in a web object or not.
