Recording desktop screensaver only

Hi, I am trying to record a PowerPoint presentation using the Record Video option. The video recorded shows only the image on my desktop, nothing else. Help!

I am using the most up to date app version: ActivePresenter for macOS 8.0.7. I am using Macbook Pro Catalina 10.15.5.
