No audio options during recording

since last update I have no more audio options in the recording screen.
The only available option that now I see is for the microphone (grayed out) that anyway I can’t enable.

ActivePresenter version: 8.5.7

OS: Windows 10 64bit

To clarify the problem, can you please send us the log so we can check?

To view the log:

  • On Start Page, click Preferences (the Gear icon).
  • In the Preferences dialog, select the Miscellaneous tab.
  • Click View Log.

You can follow the guiding steps through this video:

After that, kindly send the log file to the email

I’m trying to attach the log but, as I’m a new users, I’m not enabled to it.

I am sorry for late reply.
Please try the following steps to see if they can help:

  • Uninstall the audio driver.
  • Restart your computer.
  • Install the latest audio driver from the hardware manufacturer.

If your computer has any virtual audio device, please try disabling it too since ActivePresenter doesn’t work well with some devices of this type.


Hi, I’ve solved the problem uninstalling a multimedia software that added a virtual sound card to my pc.
It was not even necessary to reboot the computer, just after the uninstallation of the sofware, Active Presenter started to work.
