Lost audio file - not recoverable?

I was recording my screen and had double checked before I started recorded that I had the screen video on, webcam video off, system audio on and microphone audio off. However, when I finished the presentation and stopped recording, only the screen video file was showing in ActivePresenter (no system audio file). I went back to the recording toolbar and noticed that somehow the system audio had been checked off to “do not record system audio.” I don’t know how that happened, if it happened by itself after I started recording the first time, or what – it’s not happened before.

I assume that if the audio was switched to “do not record system audio” that there won’t even be a backup file or anything that I can recover, but since it was a really important presentation I wanted to ask just in case there was any potential possibility at all. Thank you in advance!

ActivePresenter version: ActivePresenter 8.2.1

OS: Windows 10 Home (64-bit)

Can you please share the log of ActivePresenter so we can check?
To view the log:

  • In Start Page, click Preferences (the Gear icon)
  • Select Miscellaneous.
  • Click View Log.
