Problem: I keep losing my added images and original video recording for my projects when I close and then re-open and keep having to start over. I can’t figure out what I’m doing that is causing the lose?

Thanks for contacting us.
For your concern, ActivePresenter stores large audio/video resources of a project in an external data folder named PROJECT_FILE_files.
Therefore, if this is the case, when you open your project, please make sure that the project is sent together with its external data folder.
The issue might happen when you rename, move or copy the project file without doing the same with its external data folder.

If that’s not the case, could you kindly let us know if you have editted the video you lost? Please also share the log of ActivePresenter so we can check.
To view the log, click ActivePresenter > Preferences > Miscellaneous > View Log.
