How can I recover media recording files lost due to an error?

Problem: I received an error while recording my screen, so I was unable to save the files. However, when I checked the temp folder in the ActivePresenter folder, I found a WAV file and an MP4 file. While the WAV file works well, the MP4 file doesn’t work at all. How can I recover my media recording files using these files? Or how can I open and view this MP4 file?

ActivePresenter version: Version 9.0.7 - 64-bit build. (Released: 2023.03.15)

You can try looking for the cached recorded video file in: C:\Users\Username\Documents\ActivePresenter.ActivePresenterCachedProjects
Kindly note that “.ActivePresenterCachedProjects” is a hidden folder so you might need to turn the “Show Hidden Files” option on to see it.

If there is a video file here, copy it to another folder and open it with ActivePresenter for editing. Otherwise, there is no way to recover it, unfortunately.
