Is there a way to center fill a scene with an image? The goal is to ensure that the height and width of the image fill the scene (maintaining the original aspect ratio) and whatever is not needed, is cut out from the left and right (not visible on scroll).

Yes, please select the scene > Properties pane > Styles tab > Fill section > Image Fill > fill type Fill

Is there a way to achieve the same result for an object placed on a scene which can be animated etc.? Not a high priority, but it helps to understand the platform better.
