Activation not stored locally

Problem: After successfully activating ActivePresenter 8.3.0, it says it can’t be stored locally, even after turning of my firewall.

ActivePresenter version: 8.3.0

OS: OSX Big Sur



Please set the permission of the /Users/Shared folder as in the screenshot below to see if it helps:



thank you for the tip. However, my folder settings were already like you indicated, and still the activation can’t be stored.

Can you please try the following steps:

  • Close ActivePresenter.
  • Open Terminal .
  • Type sudo chmod -R 777 /Users/Shared and enter the root password.
  • Type sudo rm /Users/Shared/ActivePresenter.aplic to make sure the existing license file is removed.
  • Start ActivePresenter and activate again.

If you get a volume limit error while activating, you can reset the license at ActivePresenter License Activation Management
